A break.. tat too a long one!!! I am still alive and kicking!!!
To those people who thought that I won’t come bak to this blog space (Sony… to u only), here I resume!!! Take care…
I’ve just come out of roller coaster ride - my Global Masters in Business administration at S P Jain Dubai/Singapore. Actually I was pretending to be busy with the 56 papers which have crushed me literally from all directions and made me a sleep deprived animal for almost a year!!! I tot that my life in the last 1 year would be worth a write… no other go.. keep reading.. don’t escape!!!
In the flight to Dubai, I was carrying a bag of emotions along. Rather than my “passion” to do my MBA, it was just happening.. I believe at the right time as well!! Had no clues about what is going to happen in the coming days!! From the airport, took a taxi driven by a Pakistani driver (Ya.. I was bit tense as I carried a ‘not tat gr8’ attitude towards this land), who dropped me at C-11. Tat was the block in Dubai International City where the hostel was located. Went to collect the keys from the warden and rang the bell of 122. The remaining 3 dudes in that 4 seater were already there. One of the most horrifying sight was that 2 of my roomies were smoking there life out in the balcony. I got tensed because I had taken another strong “Bye to Cig” resolution somedays back and at that point itself I figured that my resolution wouldn’t last long! Next day morning, Shaji’s van (though he believes that it’s a ferrari… Dunno y.. ) took us to the campus which was at Academic City. After the induction, where I‘ve seen all the new faces, I‘ve decided its going to be a happening year ahead!!
It was sometime during this, one familiar face struck me. Wer I was nt sure... but I knew that guy.. Went and made a head on collision and came to know that he was my classmate at the grilling entrance coaching at P C Thomas’ classes. He smiled and smiled and smiled... The msg which Sanup wanted to convey was that “ Dude, I remember u being the first person from the whole entrance coaching bunch to be thrown out of the class ,along with your books and bag!!!”. “And gosh!! I met another person from my own place- Punalur !! Arun Mathew!! He only told that there is another mallu from Alleppey.. met him as well.. the senior citizen Mr. Jaejo George. That was the starting point of Backwater Boyz!!! Still going strong and am sure we ‘ll keep moving as we are today forever!!!! We 4 formed too good a gang in all stuffs!!! Partners in crime!!!
And then it was the time for the sessions to take charge, starting with POM( for “pom” someone typed “porn” and it was the first controversy among mavericks which went unnoticed!!). And in a course where group works forms an integral part, there I got the first group members in Sachin Goel and Varun Kanoi !! And those two were successful in adding to my existing tensions. :)
Each day followed were beautiful beads in the garland!!!
When we were ending the course in Singapore, on the way to Changi airport each and every face flashed through my mind. Yes my biggest take away from the course are the mavericks!!! I saw many amazing people coming to my life, whom I will keep close to my heart!! Ramiya whose default statement was “ heyyy wowwwwww” for whatever u say and her vathakolambu & curd rice! Kanojia with his ever green Gyan about Maruti Suzuki!! Ishtiba who was instrumental in bringing out 2 editions of SPark!!! Shaheen and his copy pasted articles from Wikipedia. Roopa with her 24/7 evergreen smile!! And Goodboy somewer arnd!! Varun Sankar with his Complan smile. Divs, Mads and Rani - the babes from HR. Sid and Apurv showing their skills behind the lens and their work are real treasures. Laxmi, the desi gal, who frightened poor me wth her first dance number itself! Vivek and Bharat talking all gas/gossips…trying to gain the spot of the top DCPs outside the class. Anisha being the only person till date whom I’ve played 22 sets of TT in a row and her question “Sojish, where is my job?? “!!! Google Dixit keeping shut in some sessions only coz Google was not working! Supriya, Vasavi and Archana forming the GLSCM trios who lacked the sense of direction justifying the fact that they are logistics students!! Sandy – the marlBRO!!! Pooja Rejith- my naatukaari!! J Atul and Jay yelling out ”Life is all about smoking”! Then Sharon the wonderful!! Apurva and Nitin sir busy with the corridor cricket.. Aaina Jain with her super intelligent questions and doubts. Dear Dr. Kriti- always a proud SMMite. Vrushhh who says if I were still with Satyam, the fiasco wud nt have happened!!! Pooja Dash and her AK-47 firing like dialogues. Sachin Malhotra – who always kept his cool J. Akhil with his stand tall attitude!! Nikky and Prady with their skills at the pitch!! Rishi and his notorious 4 AM bath!!! And the list goes on and on.. restricting myself..
When thinking back now, it was awesome. Time went real fast presenting loads of memories to cherish for the rest of life. Yes… life at any campus is fun!!!!
